What is Real Estate Really About?

Wow! Is that a loaded question?

OK, hear is my answer!!!! Real Estate is about finding the dream home for your Client. Are you a good listener? Do you do all the talking and don't take time to hear what your client is trying to tell you? If agents would only learn to listen to what their clients really are looking for in a home, it would make their job a lot easier. I know by experience if you interview your client and ask the right questions about what they truly want in a home, this will save you so much time and extra effort along your journey to finding the RIGHT property for your client. I ask myself, Am I asking the right questions and listening to the answer's before I take on the responsibility of finding someone a home?

This is a very competitive market and you have to prove yourself to be a professional, caring and knowledgeable agent to have a position in the race with other real estate agents. There are so many great things now you can offer your client as far as giving them good choices of Lender's, Appraiser's, Inspectors , etc. You do not choose for them but you can give them several recommendations of good people you have worked with in the past. It will certainly be their choice, but always give them several choices in case they don't know anyone in that field.

We need as agents to go the extra mile with any of our clients, whether is be a Seller or a Buyer. To answer the question , What is Real Estate Really About? It is about people not just properties or money!!! If you really bond with your clients and let them know that you really care about them, finding them the Home of their Dream, is more valuable than any paycheck you might receive at closing. If your client trust you and you have proven to them that you are really working hard for them, they will know. You should keep in touch with them on a weekly basis, either by phone or e-mail. Let them know that you are working diligently to sell their home or find them that Dream Home.

I have heard so many people say that Real Estate is a cut throat profession, that may be true for some but in every profession you have those kind of people, but your client will know after spending sufficient time with you if you really care about helping them...Stay focused with what you are doing, market that person's home as if it were your own. Service that Buyer as if it were your own home you are trying to purchase. Caring is the Key to any Profession and people know if you really care about them. Stay in Touch!!!!!!! and care about their concerns. You are the professional, so BE PROFESSION with CARE!!.....Be knowledgeable about your business! Read, Research and Respect the Knowledge of those who are Successful.

FALL IS A BEAUTIFUL TIME TO MAKE A MOVE!!! IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT THE SALE OF YOUR HOME OR BUYING, GIVE ME A CALL

.The tax credit is working, homebuyers are using it, sales have increased and it's helping to move both housing and the economy forward. Reports are showing that in 2009, first-time homebuyers have been responsible for half of all home sales -- an increase of 25% over historic trends. Fewer empty, abandoned homes are sitting on the market and there are signs of increased confidence in the direction of the economy. This is good news for our local neighborhoods and communities. The homebuyer tax credit is working.

However, just because we are starting to see some improvement does not mean the housing market has fully recovered. If we lose the tax credit now, we could fall back into the same place we were a year ago -- a place none of us wants to revisit.

If you extend the homebuyer tax credit, communities across the country will continue to build on the progress that has already been made. If consumers can look into the future with some certainty regarding the tax credit, demand will continue to rise which will help housing markets and the economy as a whole.

Don't be left behind when you can take advantage of the $8,000 tax credit if you are first home buyer.

Tell Congress to extend the tax credit until December 31, 2010 to allow more homebuyers to take advantage of this incentive and help America's economy continue to recover.

Real Estate Economy in a Whirlwind

Are we as Real Estate agents in a panic because of the market? There are so many homes on the market at this time that are in Foreclosure that we can help people get out without going into Foreclosure. If you have heard the term Short-Sale that is a way of getting your lender to work with you on getting out of your home before going into Foreclosure.

Do you feel that there is no way possible to make another payment on your home and you are so far in dept and not enough income coming in to take care of all your bills. Many folks are asking the question, is Real Estate Dying or is it just sleeping. It is neither! Your attitude counts for 99.9% of your results.

I believe that hard work and determination will make your Real Estate Business grow. You have to have a system and work that system daily.

You have to set goals for yourself and write them down. You can only accomplish these goals if you work them. You have to work with the attitude, I can do this and I know what it takes to get there. The only thing stopping you is yourself. Is it a challenge? Yes, but the challenge is the force behind making you achieve your goals.

You have to figure out what your goals are and work daily to achieve them. Training, education and all the reading you can do will not help you until you get a positive attitude.

Don't get in a slump and cry; Gloom, Despair and Agony on me. Rise above what enables you and able yourself to do what ever it takes to get it done.

If you think Real Estate is just sleeping then you have to wake up the giant within yourself before you can tackle the market. Stay strong and determined that the market will not pull you down with it. A positive attitude will go a long way today!

OWNING VERSES RENTING

People today are asking themselves should I rent or should I own? You have many things to consider when you are trying to decide to buy or rent.

1. Am I in the position to buy, (can I afford to buy)?

2. How long do you think you will be there?

In looking at the first question, you cannot afford Not to Buy. Went you buy you are investing in a property that will make you money.

Question number two; the longer you are in that property the more equity you build for future sale of that property.

None of the money that you have spent on rent payments is every returned to you.

Owning a home allows you to leverage your money. Also, you have tax advantages that you do not have with renting.

Just think about the rate of return on your money when you buy a home verses renting.

If you bought a home and stayed in that home 10 years at an appreciation rate of 5% you are going to make money on that home.

Real Estate is the smartest investment you will ever make. People always need a place to live.

Owning a home and other properties is how most people make money.

According to the Federal Reserves Board a homeowner's net worth is 46 times that of a renter.

If you are only going to be in a location for a small amount of time, you may want to consider renting because getting in and out of a house can take some time.

Owning your home is not always about the money. It provides shelter, security and allows you to make relationships and bond with other people that live in your neighborhood.

Have you ever said to yourself, "It's Time I Take Control"? What are you thinking when you make this statement.

1. Getting myself more organized
2. Having a Plan Daily
3. Setting Goals for myself

Remember in taking control you have to have the attitude I can make this happen. Take all the training available to you and put it to use in daily activities that will improve your business.

I decided when I make up my mind to change the things that are not working for me, to the things that DO work, then I am taking steps forward not backward.

The market today is not Depressed it is just Different. It is all in how you look at things and from what angle you are looking. A positive attitude can go a long way in pushing you to success.

The only way you are going to get anything done in your life is to just DO IT.

God gives the mentality to be winners, it is all in the way you LOOK at each situation.

How Can I know my Realtor is Working Hard for Me

Today many people ask the question????? How can I know my Realtor is working hard for me. Very simple.

1. Does your agent market your property well?.....Internet, newspaper, magazines, web-sites, MLS etc.

2. Do you know what is going on at all times with your property?

3. Does your agent keep you informed on prospective buyer, interest calls, response to market materials?

4. Does your agent care enough to let you know when your property needs improvements or a face lift?

5. Is your agent too busy to stay in contact with you, willing to answer any and all questions?
6. Does your agent really care about you and is sincere in pushing your property to sale?

If your agent is just putting a sign in your yard, and a lock box on the door, and that is the last time you hear from them....BEWARE. Your property is going to sit on the market and you will continue to make payments every month.

Take a real look at your agent and see if they are truly interested in helping you sale your property. You should know this after the first meeting. Make sure you interview your agent and ask them questions such as, how they intend on marketing your home and getting it sold. Don't let them be the only one with the questions. Make sure all your questions are answered and if not, that agent should get back with you on the best solution.

Do agents really earn their pay? Yes! most agents work very hard for their clients because until that property is sold the agent does not get paid. A good agent will work hard for you to make sure your property sales as quickly as possible.

If your property is in good condition, neat, clean and clutter free, it will sale so much quicker. A fresh coat of paint, cleaning or replacing carpet can make a world of difference.

Be sure and ask question and let the agent know that you are going to be keeping up with their progress and you will feel more secure when you find them to be THERE FOR YOU!!!

How many people do you know that think they have the professional expertise to sale their own home? What are they trying to do? Avoid the extra expense of commission? What they do not realize is their home most likely will set on the market for months and they are thinking, why is my home not selling? I say the market is different. Real Estate Property is still selling and Buyer are still buying. It's all in how you look at the picture. Do you look outside the box. If not, maybe you should.
